March

Journal

The start of the month brought some much needed bright sunshine for us to enjoy here in Northern Ireland. It was still absolutely freezing but such a treat to explore the north coast with sun on our faces. We packed picnics and headed out to make the most of it. That first brightening of Spring is always such a lift.

In the studio I have been finishing off a couple of my first commissions of 2022 and very excitedly now have some pieces available exclusively at Broughgammon farm just outside Ballycastle. If you haven't been there before I can't recommend it highly enough- gorgeous farmland, animals (Twin 2's life was made to see their pigs!) as well as a brilliant farm shop and cafe. The coffee is delicious.

I've been doing a fair bit of forward planning with my work. Now that my kids are in pre- school and I actually have dedicated child free work hours for the first time I want to make sure I'm growing my business in a way that sits well with my values and ideas so I'm just checking in with that. I plan to take a break from the monthly little shop updates for a bit- but don't worry I've left the shop well stocked and am still open for commissions! I have some product shape improvements I'd like to take some time to try out and now seems like a good point to do it. I'll share snippets of this on Instagram and plan to make these journal entries a regular thing.
